Hi there,

 

I just got a used pair of Beyer DT990/250 edition 2005's today and have been listening for the past few hours. Absolutely love how they sound. So open and detailed! Very nice....

 

Anyway. I have been curious to try a tube amp for a while now and am wondering if you guys could tell me if I would notice any difference from my current setup, and if yes, would it be dramatic? What would be different?

 

Current Setup

 

FLAC -> Squeezebox Duet -> Lite DAC-AH (modified) -> Meier Cantate -> Beyer DT990/250 2005

 

What would swapping the Cantate for a (stock) little dot mkIV do to the sound? 

 

EDIT: Music I listen to is Rock and Metal.
