As anybody here ever used a Roland ADA 7000 as a DAC? I just found onbe for a cheap price (375$) and wonders if I should jump on it...

I havn't heard this particular Roland unit. You can only use it with R-bus equipment (like their V-series mixers).

Overall I haven't been impressed with Roland D/A converters. I've listened to their FA-66 and UA-25 in the past. They are solid project studio components with reliable drivers. Soundwise they are on the warm side with a bit lack of dynamics. I've only compared it to TC-electronics interfaces
