Hi all,

My subwoofer is pretty old and the speakers cost about 300-400 euro I think, link. I think they are good, but I can´t compare them to anything which is proven to be good.

This is the scenario which I plan to use the equipment: Spotify (192 KBIT/S) -> Apple Airport Express -> amp > subwoofer -> two speakers.

Subwoofer: Jamo SW2
Rated power: 80W
Music power: 140W
IEC: 45W
IMPEDANCE: 8 OHM

Speakers: DynaVoice Challenger S6:
Impedance: 4 - 8 OHM
Sensitivity: 92 db
Max Effect: 100W

I don´t know how to calculate if an amp is powerful enough for certain speakers.

I´m looking for a simple, compact amp with enough horse powers to drive the speakers and subwoofer listed above. Stereo playback is enough. And, if it is likely that I would benefit from using optical out from the Airport express, I would need an amp with built in DAC as well.

I´ve been reading a little bit about Nuforce Icon 2. Could it be a good candidate? Or are there other recommendations?

My budget is about 500 euro.
