Is a cmoy amp a good match for reo's?

Hey guys, done a few searches on cmoy amps and opinions seem varied. I'm looking to improve my music listening experience, I have a set of RE-O's and an iPod classic (latest revision), and am considering a cmoy and a line out dock. I know I shouldn't expect too much by audiophiles standards, but as a relative noob (upgraded from Bose triports), would this setup give a noticeable improvement?
Also would it be adequate to power some cans at a later date? Say some AD-900's or the like.
I would be mainly sitting while listening so portability isn't an issue, music tastes range from mellow acoustic, blues, folk etc.. to classic rock, modern rock all the way through to metal.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Mont.

I would say that it will not be a very big improvement -unless- it has a bass boost and you like a little more bass on the RE0s (which I do).  Overall, the RE0s really don't need any additional amping IMHO.

Thanks for the reply Max F, I was thinking that using the iPod classic line out dock rather than headphone out would make an improvement by itself, or is the improvement not noticeable?

It will sound a little better indeed.

So would a line out cable and budget amp with bass boost would be worthwhile for my REOs?
It would be nice to be able to beef up the bottom end a little.
If so any recommendations.
Thanks guys. Mont.
