How Good Is Velodyne Microvee

Hi All

 

As the title states I am in the market for a good subwoofer. What do you guys think of Microvee? Aesthetically & Dimensionally it matches my Muso speakers perfectly and it doesn't even take up much space either. Aesthetics a side, how good is it SQ wise.

I had the HG10 which is somewhat similar- great rumble from such a tiny box- very fast and clean. I thought it was better suited for music. That said, I would not pay the retail price of $700 as there are probably better values at that price (though they'll be bigger).

Boutique makers that I have read good reviews of- HSU, AV123, SVS to name a few. Go to AVSForum to read up on them.

I'd personally go with REL if you are willing to spend that much.

 

Oh and HSU is great as well.

Well it costs about the same for me in the Britain for Velodyne and REL.
