DAP Repair

Thread Starter

As of yesterday I have three portables with loose headphone jacks.  I have a 30 gb ipod video, 60 gb iaudio x5, and a 8gb sansa clip +.  Just can’t stop using full sized headphones and sooner or later it strains the headphone jacks and they stop working rite.  You know what I am talking about; sound out of one channel unless you wiggle the connection.

Is there any way to get these fixed?  I don’t have much confidence pulling things apart myself.  Hell I wouldn’t mind if a pig tale was soldered in place, at least then this wouldn’t happen again.  Any info would be great.

The headphone jack on Ipod Video can be replaced, I don't know about the others.

Try Rapid Repair - the pricing isn't bad for a HP jack replacement (I need to do this for my 5.5G myself): RapidRepair

It is an easy job to replace the headphone jack on the Ipod, check out the link below.

You can get a replacement jack from Ebay.
