Datalock by Zonealarm

Thread Starter

I got ZoneAlarm’s free firewall in addition to my antivirus software, and it seems like my system is fairly secure from malware.

I am now more concerned about losing my laptop, and anyone being able to get all my data off the drive.

Zonealarm now make this Datalock laptop data encryption program:

It prevents people from booting, and it encrypts the data.

My question, is that can this encryption be broken and people then getting access to the data?

It is easy to decode this encryption?

I've had no experience with the Zone Alarm encryption, but TrueCrypt is a free alternative that will encrypt the boot drive, additional drives, or just files.

Any encryption can be cracked it is just a matter of how much time and resources the person attempting to do so want to devote.
