2010's dissapointments in music

Let's get it off our chests. Albums that we were looking out for in 2010 but get nothing but the big two thumbs down and our sadfaces

First off:

Half god's Rod Modell and Steven Hitchell as DeepChord, kings of electronic dub techno deliver double cd Liumin. I was hyped because of the good work they both have done but this is (apart from the 2/3 stand out tracks) weak and beneath their level. Just some plain techno stuff that could have come from any other. And cd2 is ambient stuff which again, is nothing special at all :\

Two!:

Kammerflimmer Kollektief

give us their album Wildling. While I like the music on this one quite a bit it is just ruined ruined by that incredibly annoying female's voice who keeps babbling away. They had her incoming on the previous album but this is just it for me. Get rid of her and I will be a fan again.

What about you guys? What are the grand misses?

Ah, I can add a third to that:

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interloper

Didn't make it. Just one track (Central Plain) is truly cool but most is nothing special. Dissapointment..

i'm gonna catch grief for this, but Arcade Fire's The Suburbs.

Just didn't click for me.  and the sound quality was not very good.

Good good, most of us do including me but this thread isn't about that..

Though I liked them both, Porcupine Tree's The Incident and their DVD concert release Anesthetize, didn't seem too popular with their fans.

I'm also enjoying the music of 2010, (...I especially LOVE "The Suburbs") and I might very well add to this response as I give this thread more thought and as 2010 progresses, but I can say I was really disappointed by eels latest effort, "tomorrow morning." I'm also disappointed in "Personal Life" the new album by The Thermals. I'm enjoying both Robert Plant's new album, and "Lisbon" the newest effort by The Walkmen a great deal. Other music that I have been disappointed with include...

"Plastic Beach" - The Gorillaz

Massives latest was a HUGE dissapointment for me; as compared to the rest of their discograahy, a forgetable album.

Also, I dont think ive listened to SADE's new album more than once.

I agree on the forgetable thing, I wont turn to that album after years,

but at least is an easy enjoyable album,

as for the Arcade Fire, well its just a band, it`s not Beethoven, I don`t see "Funeral" as a masterpiece..
