SOLD
Pains me to do this – but part of a massive liquidation sale (between one toddler and another baby on the way and I just don’t have time to listen to anything not portable as is)
First up CONUS only and you have to have post counts and feedback to purchase (sorry I won’t have time to respond to anyone asking about worldwide shipping or for folks committing then flaking out – I’ll leave feedback if that happens). Also Paypal only. Also I’ll only ship UPS and UPS will probably require a signature.
Please consider the gear used and beaten, worn and generally reflecting that state (personally I think it looks good but from experience different folks have different definitions so purchase planning on it being in used condition and be pleasantly surprised if it exceeds your expectations).
Now I’m looking for an easy sale – simple efficient, etc.
Also, I have over 10 pages of positive feedback here.
No pictures up yet – will try and put them up soon
Now onto the gear:

Thread from original owner here:
Now there were mods done to the headphone amp to to improve it (not sure what but does have more oomph than the stock one’s I’ve heard).
This is the non-USB version. I was planning on using an M2Tech HiFace (figuring it was better to have external conversion) – although I ended up using a poppulse USB converter which was great.
I also have Benchmark install a silver (no rack tabs) faceplate on it (came with the black faceplate with the rack tabs. So the buyer gets both.
On the sound. Does this sound better than stock. To my ears, yes, not so much with a mid-fi amp but with a $2k bottlehead it was clear to me. The improved performance of the headphone amp was also evident.
To my ears, this is clearly better than a Lavry, Buffalo, etc. With grados the built in amp is killer. With a good amp it’s unbelievable. Made me a believer out of source first.
I paid around $700 and another $100 for the extra faceplate plus th ship etc.
I’d sell this to a good home quick and easy for:
$OLD shipped, insured and paypalled.
