Watching TV on a PC

Anyone know how this is done - every search I do comes up with some S/W for sale, that most of the reviews say is bogus and you only get obscure religious and/or foreign stations.

I'm in temporary housing for a while and I'd like to watch just normal broadcast TV on my computer since my TV is in storage and i don't really want to get cable or dish until I find more permanent housing.

You're going to need a USB TV tuner.  Most of them look like a fat USB thumb drive with an antenna connector.  Prices start at $35.
