Creative Soundblaster audigy 2 VS. onboard motherboard audio.. a difference?

I've got HD580's which I love, however lately i've been wanting to get rid of my 3rd party sound card (Creative Soundblaster audigy 2 ZS platinum). It's taking up space and adding heat to my small case.

My motherboard audio is this:

  1. Realtek ALC662 codec
  2. High Definition Audio
  3. 2/4/5.1-channel
  4. Support for S/PDIF Out
  5. Support for CD In

My question: Would i EVER notice a difference in audio quality if I got rid of the soundblaster and used the onboard motherboard audio?I'd like to get rid of the sound card if i'm not benefiting anything from it. Plus i have drier issues sometimes.

Thanks :)

I prefer the Audigy sound to the motherboard, but I'm running the kx drivers (http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/).  I feed the S/PDIF out to my DAC.  It's the only 24/96 path I have out of the computer, as my DAC only supports 16 bit USB input.
