Musical Fidelity M1HPA + AKG K701...good combo?

Just wondering if anyone has used the K701s with this amp. On paper, it looks like it might be a decent match.

 

I'd appreciate any subjective input you may have.

the amp has not arrived in the uS as there are distribution problems again

And as usual with Musical Fidelity products when it finally becomes available it will be discontinued for the next amp that may take another year to show up.

I heard RR mk 2 > M1 DAC + HPA  > AKG K701 & HD650.  HD650 was wonderful, perfect mids and lush detail.  AKG had a bigger soundstage, but felt grainy.  Great Amp for 650.
