My Old Feedback + My New Feedback
The Details
The HF-2's (SOLD) are great; I'm the original owner, and I love them dearly. I got them during the rush on TTVJ. I'd like to sell them with the Quantaray case; it's a really great case that has someone elses original box foam in them, so the grado's fit snugly and safely. The original box would also be sent along. I'm not certain why they're b-stock; my thinking is that it's one of 2 things: there's a bit more glue than necessary, and the headband wasn't perfectly arc'd. I'm extremely pedantic and tried to capture these in my pictures, however each time I failed to do so. Let me know if you want me to try again. I've put around 150 hours on them, the first 100 were burn in with pink noise and some hard rock.
The K340's (SOLD) were my second foray into the hifi world, and I truly love them. I am almost certainly going to regret selling them. They're the bass-heavy model and were recabled by a previous owner to balanced. I'd throw in a 8" balanced to SE adapter I made for $10 (parts cost). The previous owner did a very good job with the recable; it's covered in nylon multifilament, though I don't know what the cable is inside. The elastics were recently replaced, and they're very clean. I've probably put 150 hours on them since I got them a year ago. I've got a set of pleather pads and a set of velour pads for them that I'd include, so you can "pad-roll" if you're inclined. The pleather pads aren't peeling, the original vinyl pads are still in pretty good condition, and the velour pads are in great condition. In the picture, the K340 pad's are the center and right-most pads.
The K271MKII (SOLD) were my office headphones, until my coworkers started complaining that I couldn't hear them poking in my cube. Then they were my home phones until my wife complained that I couldn't hear her. Now I just don't use them. I burned them in for 100 hours and then have probably put another 100 on them. I've got a 10' DIY Mogami 2893 cable covered in nylon multifilament terminated in a Neutrik REAN mini XLR and a Impact Acoustics 3.5mm jack that I'd like to sell along with them. They come with the original box and all of the original accessories, and are in excellent condition. I'm the original owner. The pads the ones on the left in the photo of the 3 pads.
I'm selling these because: the K271MKII isolate too much for my current needs, and the K340 leak too much. I'm looking to shift to closed cans that isolate "some;" I've got an office pair, I'd like a home pair as well. The HF-2's... I love, but the fully-open design does not mesh well with apartment living.
I've also got a PPAS made by FallenAngel that I've put some hours on, mostly on train rides in and out of Boston. I'd sell it for $120 shipped. It pairs very nicely with the K271MKII's. I probably should make a new thread for this in Amplification, but I'll try here, at least until the headphones sell.
I'd be up for trading for a nice aluminum enclosure with the panels cut out, but not for any headphones at this time.
Thanks for looking!

Maybe he'll cut you a price break or something if you let me buy them.
. Good luck with your sale, but I'm not interested in those.
