Sansa Fuze Appreciation Thread - Page 2

I love my Fuze. Paid $70.00 for it new from amazon over a year ago. Maybe 2 years ago now. I use it with a 32gb Sandisk card & a Fiio LOD hooked to my UHA 4 Slimline amp. I love the combo. For portability and ease of use the fuze can't be beaten. Even when compared to the Cowon, the fuze wins hands down due to its line out dock capability which gives it noticeably better sound quality over any cowon. I also have an iphone4 32 gb with a LOD and it sounds amazing as well. Both have distinct sound signatures. The fuze is warmer and I tend to like it over the iphone4. The iphone 4 has better separation, its more in your face. I also have a Sflo2 which is amazing as well; I exclusively use flac on that as it will show you the flaws in mp3. I'm surprised how small the appreciation thread is for the fuze ;). Where's the love guys lol.

Yeah i went looking for this thread, expecting it to be massive and this is it?!

But anyway i have one on the way, i've given in and have a fiio e7 and a decent capped lod cable as well.

Let the fun begin!!

I have had several Sansas  and own a Cowon D2 and Zune 30gb.  I listen to the Fuze almost exclusively.  Enough said.

Fuze -> FiiO LOD -> Corda Move -> ER4P

Hey GnuB, that is a clever play on words and images... but can you distribute that image without the copyleft license? RMS might be watching.

Incidently, I use a Fuze as a music player at work.

I also looked for a thread at one time, but i think there is more than one so you need a mod to merge them..........

For $30 you have to wonder if the other players are worth the difference. Put the money into a good pair of IEM/Cans.

Once you've put the money into a decent pair of Cans/IEMs then most definitely its worth putting the money into a decent DAP. I love my Sansa Fuze but it could never compare to what I get with my Hifiman 601/FX700s.

When I Rockboxed my Fuzes, one of the first things I did was turn off the blue light.....lol. It used to drive me nuts pre-Rockbox when I was listening in the dark and I touched the wheel, and it would light up and blind me.smile.gif

Whoa... Just whoa... Just got my Fuze in the mail, and i am impressed! I love it! It's my first dedicated DAP and it couldn't be better. RockBoxed it straight off, so I don't have any comment on it un-rockboxed, but wow, i love the thing. Got a Fiio L6 too, just don't have a portable amp yet, so i'll start looking into that... cool.gif

Are those R06s?

I absolutely love the Sansa Fuze in combination with my Gr07!

Straight from HP out, i can even compare it to my Sony Z1060 (fiio lod to d4) with significant doubt as to which sounds better.

Hell, DBA-02 MKII takes away a bit of the warmth, but damn they also sound great together!

Does Sansa Fuze support 64G microSD?
Yes it does i use one a class 6 sandisk formatted to fat32 which you need to use one of the free format tools because windows wont do it for you. Do a google search and you will find one.

After you have Rockboxed your Fuze, does it improve the separation, detail, sound stage in the sound quality?
Did you use LO cable to amp? If yes, does it sound better compare to listening directly from headphone output?

The most noticeable difference in sound was that the playback speed was corrected. And I never had an LOD for mine, so I don't know if it was any improvement or not.
