First of all, is this even possible or recommended? Like is the heat gun going to damage my IEMs?
I own a pair of Image X10s and the warranty on them is already out-of-date, so i'm just trying to keep them in working condition as long as possible.
The cable is 1/16" thick and the headphone jack is 1/4" (heatshrink must first fit over the headphone jack... so looking at 4:1).
Should i try to get tubing with the lowest internal diameter possible? or go with a nominal internal diameter?
looking at this one currently, 1/4" ordered as ID: http://www.zeusinc.com/extrusionservices/products/heatshrinkabletubing/ptfehs41heatshrink.aspx
