So I made a new LOD yesterday, I did the jump from pins 11 to 15 with a piece of wire cut from a resistor, and a 68kOhm resistor connected between pins 21 and 29. All solder connections are clean and isolated from neighboring pins. I plugged it into my 3g Ipod Touch, it goes into line out mode, puts out signal and all is fine, but occasionally, about 10 seconds (roughly, I've never timed it) into a song or a podcast my ipod pauses. Anyone had this problem before? I'd like to make sure it's something other than how I made the connector before I rip it back apart...

Does it come loose at all during that time? the iPod will pause if it loses connection from the LOD.
Also, with my statement of clean and isolated solder joints, that is not to imply that they couldn't be the problem, just that I tried my best to have them not be a problem.
It doesn't appear to, I checked it as best I could while driving and trying to shift gears, which means I looked at it, said, "Damn it," then pressed play again, and it started playing. I'll keep an eye on it, maybe one of the pins is a c-hair loose and loosing contact.

Try testing it while not driving. I can't imagine that's very safe, haha.
But since you mention using it while driving, it could be that it's getting shaken around while the car is moving and causing it to lose the connection for just a short moment.
Of course, it's possible that there might be a different reason it's pausing. Not sure if pictures would help, but do you happen to have any?
