I am done. $200 for speakers + amp + receiver? Bah, I will just keep on with headphones. Unless I find a decent deal on Audioengines...

In case anyone is interested I'm letting go of some gear, I have a few sets of active speakers, Tekton ob4.5 speakers and some tube amps.

so I just ordered the WAF-1/Gizmo combo..hopefully I'll get them by the end of the week.

In the meantime, can anyone recommend a pair of quality, yet affordable speaker stands?

would you guys recommend wharfedale diamond 10.1 with a Marantz amp ( http://www.techmagnews.com/marantz-m-cr603-network-cd-receiver.html ) with a 200w active subwoofer for a small/medium sized living room

AND

audioengine 5 for the bedroom sourced out of..... something bluray i guess and connected to either a bluetooth receiver or the airport.

I finally got my WAF-1's setup and have been very pleased with their sound so far..though I don't really have anything to compare them to. They do sound a hell of a lot better than my old logitech speakers however. Thanks for the recommendation spaceman!

Glad you like them. They are very good for the money. Certainly compared to Logitech!
