Custom's price almost never drop . The only time I saw a little price drop was back on late 2008 / early 2009 because of the bad economy (not really a price drop but more of a lowering in geenral pricing), Top-end customs are like super cars, demand is low but people who want one usually are prepared to pay whatever the price, and getting better bang for the bucks is usually not the top priority. By the time you wait for a custom to drop price in one or two years, the company would have had another new custom to replace the old model along with a new (and probably higher) price tag.

The only price drop I can remember is the JH5 going from 600 or whatever it was to 400 to match the price of the UE4. Other than that they do not drop. There are times when there are on sale however such as the JH13 and JH16 has gone though some sales in recent months.

It's just like ClieOS mentioned. They may be expensive yes but there are many who are willing to pay the cost assuming they are a good product. Take a look at the JH13. It's very expensive at 1100 but people buy it and they are quite popular here.
