When there are wooden crates and wires about, it's best to let logic fly out the window. They're just too unpredictable.

Too bad the post office dosn't think everything has a bomb inside, they would handle the packages much better hehehe

That _is_ hilarious! I hope you didn't get into any trouble though!

I really hope you don't get fired because of this. Unfortunately, when something like this happens, the people in charge look for a scapegoat after realizing how stupid they look. Best of luck to you.

That is quite possibly the most epic Head-Fi news story ever. And the "homemade appearance" sounds true for a Singlepower...

Pretty weird story, I can't imagine how you felt when this happened. I wouldve laughed my ass off.

Hell in a handbasket...

Epic Fail, so what kind of amp was it?

Wow, what an incident!

I posted this on my facebook. You are my hero!

I hope nothing happens to you except for some teasing.

It reminds me of a friend's father who tends towards the forgetful. He absentmindedly left his briefcase at a courthouse and the bomb squad was called out. Fortunately, it was not detonated and returned to him.

On another level, this bothers me because it casts suspicion on any homebrew or small production electronics. It's not as widespread as it used to be, but amateur electronics used to be a wholesome thing. Go buy a Heathkit, build it with your dad and learn a few things. Now it's suspicious. I even bagged away the Zana for when I go through three or four border checkpoints today.

is the equipment ok? If wires were hanging out, did anything come loose?
