How can you tell if a member has been banned?  

I was in the middle of a trade that started in the FS/Trade forum and sent my part of the deal with the understanding that the other member would mail his part of the deal after he received mine. Then that member was banned, and we don't have each other's email addresses. So I posted negative feedback and alerted the mods to it, and was informed that member has been banned and my feedback had been deleted.

So when I look up that member's profile all I can tell is that he has not posted in almost a couple of weeks. There does not seem to be any indication that he has been banned. Aside from the obvious problem of this transaction I am sadly in the middle of, how is one to know why a banned member is not responding to PM's, if there is no indication that member has been banned?

The "old" Head-fi just said "banned" under that member's name in that member's posts, and in his profile, very simple and obvious. Is there any way to tell in the new Head-fi if someone has been banned?

I don't know if this should be here or in the feedback and bug reports section, mods please advise.

Yes I have his name and street address. I was just wondering why it used to be so obvious when a member has been banned, and now there seems to be no way to tell. All that it says in his profile is that he is "offline", which doesn't really mean anything as that is controllable by the member.

Is this reverse directory thing you are referring to 411 or online?
