Hi,

 

What exactly is the bypass mod?

What kind of screen are they rescreened with?

Are they recabled with a stock cable?

Can you describe their sound with the mods?

I might be interested, I am not 100% sure though.

I do have a brand new Schiit Asgard.

I don't really know what the bypass mod is to be honest.  I bought them from another head-fier who did the mods.  It bypasses something bad and makes it better.  How's that for technical? 

 

They are recabled with probably a silver-copper hybrid cable though I'm not sure it's a DIY cable.  It has a mini jack on it now, but there's plenty of cable if you want to change that.

 

The mods were supposed to bring down the treble a bit, remove harshness, and increase dynamics and resolution, tighten everything up.  As far as I know anyways.  Compared to my NOS K340, they sound pretty similar, but have more treble energy and are probably more resolving/ a more clear sound.  Since I like a warmer sound, I prefer the NOS pair.

 

I'm interested in the Asgard.  Or whatever would be better at driving K340's and orthos and HD600, etc.  I'm assuming that's the Asgard.
