Looking for something that makes me fall in love. I am thinking something like "Jaimee Paul - At Last" but with more music and more emotion. This will be, with any luck, a go to list for this type of recording.

Thanks

The female vocalists that really push my buttons are Keely Smith, k.d. lang and Eartha Kitt. I don't know if you'd appreciate their genres, but they're worth a listen.

how about this:

Maia of Ladies of the Canyon.

and this is coming from someone that really really dislikes twang in anything.

I got the album though and I was gutted cos they twangified the song and her vocals are only on 2 tracks, the others are not bad though,...cept for the damn twang.

My go-to songs lately have been:

Rebecca Pidgeon - "Spanish Harlem" from Chesky's World's Greatest Audiophile Vocal Recordings

Roberta Flack - "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"

Edit: Also like to add, (for my taste):

Tracy Bonham (specifically the album "Blink The Brightest")

Quarterflash

Bee And Flower

Sam-Fi, I've got to agree with you, that Jamiee Paul Cd is a real stunner, beautifully sung and well recorded. It's the one I'd suggested had you not put it out there as the bench mark. Here would be my second choice.

While I do like a rich voice I tend to fall for a different character of voice a bit more.

Blossom Dearie is a voice that does trip me up.

Margo Timmins from the Cowbow Junkies.

Karin from Over The Rhine's voice appeals to me a lot.
