Hi Suigeneris,

 

How do the pads change the sound?  Do they affect bass, impact, and/or soundstage?

Mostly the soundstage. To me, the sound is "airy" now.

Bass is on par with the stock bowls (not taped).
The HF2's already have plenty of of bass especially when compared to the other grado

models. Bass impact is improved with taped bowls.
Comfort is pretty much perfect now, I've always prefered circum aural over supra aural

Update!
 

I need to sell these as soon as possible, moving out soon...so

I'm willing to sell the HF2 on its own without the DT880 pads or grado converter


Grado HF2 with bowls and reversed quarter modded HD414 pads

for $old plus shipping
