Cowon S9 (Jet Audio) and a new Mac Pro OSX...question

I wouldn't.  Most of the complaints about bricked Cowons seem to be directly linked to MacOs.  Also, even if you risk connecting the Cowon to a Mac, your only option under MacOs is the old drag and drop method.  If you bravely insist on plugging the Cowon into a Mac and you want to use software to manage and sych music to the player, your only option is to install a microsoft operating system on your mac and use a either boot camp, parallels, or similar program.

Sorry to be the bearer of what is sure to be bad news.

Now if you are talking about importing Flac from the CD itself, Max is a free program that works great.

You could try using wine to install the windows program on your mac. If that doesn't work VMware is better than parallels. Max works great for ripping. Songbird is great for flac playback on mac.
