Advice on PMP?

I am a basic user looking for a good PMP. Portability is an issue and hence I need ones which works well without an amp. I never use the equalizer functionality. so that can be ignored.

Also sound should be crystal clear and vocals should be lively. Bass shouldn't shadow those qualities although a deep bass would be preferred.

Know any which live up to these standards on a US $250 budget?

this question has been answered so many times in here it's not even funny anymore. sigh.  here we go again:

- do you need video?

- do you need itunes?

- do you need expandable memory?

- do you want to be able to use the line-out in the future?

- do you need bluetooth/radio/wifi/humongous battlerobot transformation capability?

Video isnt a priority but would be nice.

No itunes required. Should be drag and drop capable.

No expandable memory required but should have 8 gb internally atleast.

Line out isnt a priority but wouldnt hurt if it was thr.

None of the other stuff except the humongous battlerobot transformation capability if available.

What I am mainly looking for is the kinda of sound stage i described.

So what are my options?

A Sansa Clip+/Fuze would probably be best for you.
