I have that electrostatic bug - have an Electrocompanient original 25 watt amp that is just dying to drive a set of electrostatic cans - stax, microseiki ,koss, at 's - what have you got that's gathering dust ?  would appreciate pictures and feedback verification - not interested in spending a lot as this is a whim so probably excludes the mega priced or new stuff ...will also consider units with amps

Can pay bank transfer in Canada or paypal internationally or postal money order.

I have an SR5 and SRD6 transformer.  The phones are well balanced tonally.  I haven't actually usd the SRD because I run the 5 from an amp.   I  would think about US$150.00  and I will check out the 6.

Here is a picture.  The cosmetics are very good I would say 8 out of 10.  The phones are in excellent order.  The SR5 has a very nicely balanced tonal signature, not too bassy not treblish.  They sound good  on a wide variety of music. 

 

The transformer is mains energized.  I have not actually used it since I run these off various Stax amps. I will see if I can try it out tonight.
