Need a recording interface with good DAC

Since my firebox died, and im not sure if its under warranty, I would like to start searching for a potential new audio interface.  I suppose it could be either firewire or usb, and I have a budget of around $150, and would be willing to buy used.  Since all of my music listening is done with my computer as the source, I don't want to have to buy a separate DAC, if my audio interface can have a good on in it.  I just need this for simple recordings, 2 simultaneous inputs is max what I would be using.

You could try the Musiland Monitor 02US which goes for 135$ inclusive if shipping. I just got mine today and am thrilled with it.

I am looking for a recording interface.  Something that has XLR inputs, not just a USB DAC.

I think you are looking for one of these: http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?product=15185

The best price google found was $165 new, so within shooting distance of your budget..

They do come up used occasionally too..

It's probably what I would buy if I didn't already have an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 (which doesn't have XLR's either(not that I need them))

Are you using a Mac or Windows PC? If the former, the Apogee Duet is excellent.

^^^ a bit more than $150 though.

emu has nice converters or so i have heard, you could do worse.

Bump, I bought an emu, but this thing has been more headaches than its worth.  Moving on to something else.  More suggestions please.
