Where to Pick Amazon Kindle in Chicago?

Hi guys,

 

I have a friend in Us who will return in a week, he will be at Chicago wednesday.

 

There is no other way for me to buy otherwise cause i am located in Turkey. 

Also he hasn't got a place there so i can't ship to an address.

I thought Amazon shipped the Kindle internationally. As far as buying it in an actual store, the only retailer that currently sells it is Target. However, Amazon recently introduced a new model and I don't know it is available yet in Target. They are no longer selling the previous model and the new model is currently on backorder at Amazon.

Target stores in my area sell the Kindle. I'd try that.

The new Kindles are on backorder at Amazon. I just got notified mine shipped and is arrivning on 9/15. That could mean that Target has some in stock about now.

Thanks for the answers guys, i told my friend to check target stores or buy a nook from barnes & nobles.

I saw an Amazon Kindle 3 at Target today. If they still have stock, then I would buy it from them soon.
