Apparently Fanatecs ARE fully X360 forcebeedback compatible. http://www.simhq.com/_technology2/technology_087e.html
A smooth move from Microsoft. Their console gets one of the best car racing sims ever made and at the very same time they stop making their own forcefeedback wheel. Nice marketing strategy, idiots... If they are no longer interested, why not make their system public so there would be a ton of 3rd party ones for cheap (like PS3 has) so we could get good quality logitech wheels with full forcefeedback effects? Fanatecs are way too costly unless you are... well... fanatic. (no intentional pun intended)
But the price is insane. With the wheel, the pedals, shifter(s), leather racing gloves, and some kind of a stand to mount it all on it is close to $500. I cannot justify that for a $50 video game.
Kidding about the leather gloves, as far as you know.
