Completely New To headhpones

Greetings guys,

I'm completely new about headphone stuff, but my most concern is - my right ear is inborn-damage (so my left's the only one that really functions well) - but i am really persistent to buy one though i don't know if there's any term for a type of headphone wherein the bass is not separated, or both sides have the same quality of sound output (no isolation whatsoever). Could you guys tell me something about it so that i would know what to look for or what to say if ever i went to a store and buy one. Big thanks to those who could help me, cheers~

ultimate ears make a custom earphone where there is only one earpiece, so all the sound would be coming out of one side.

here's the website:http://ultimateears.com/en-us/products/1-pro

Neat, 4 drivers, for those on a budget, get the left or right first, then get the other later as funds become available.

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you're asking about but it sounds to me like you might be in need of a player can output in mono instead of stereo.  I think this can be done with Rockbox'd players but I don't know for sure.

You can get an adapter plug that converts from stereo to mono. Maybe that in connection with a balance control would work.

Thanks,

A friend actually told me about this, but i don't know, call me stubborn but i find it kinda awkward if i'll try this - and another thing is that i am more into headphone than earphone, i really don't know why i but i so much prefer the big ones than going with the small size. :)

Thanks for the heads up about this. How about this "natural" headphone that i'm hearing? what's their different with the regular ones?

I was thinking about a DIY solution, but then it struck me that you might be able to use a mixing board. I'm not terribly up on pro gear, but I think you can buy a console that will mix both channels, do balance and much else. It'd give you a good amount of control so you could custom blend the sound to where you like it. There should be quite a few used ones out there, too, so maybe you could find a deal on eBay or Craigslist.

You might want to ask Acix about mixing boards. He produces music and might be able to suggest a mixing board with everything you need.
