New wiring help

Hey

So I decided to re-cable my HD-555.  I was recommended this wiring from someone.

My question is, it says it has 7 strands of 32 awg wiring in it, and I want to make sure that this means there are 7 strands of tiny silver wires in there.  I hope it doesn't mean 7 different colored insulation wires that are 32 awg.  I need 4 wires total, 2 for signal and the other 2 for ground.  I was planning on using each wire for each speaker driver side.  One wire for signal and one wire for ground on one speaker driver and the same for the other side.  And I want to make sure it is 24 awg that has regular silver cables inside ready to solder.  Thanks!

The wire is simply 7/32 stranded.  That means that when you strip off the jacket, that's how many bare strands there are, of 32 gauge, per conductor.  The stranded wire I typically use has 42 strands, every wire's a little different.  The more/finer the strands, the more flexible and breakage resistant it's going to be.  The more strands the merrier to a point, when you get much beyond 40-42 gauge there's the issue of pulling strength, to where some wires have kevlar stranding in them for extra strength.  You just need 4 pieces of this wire of whatever length you want your cable to be, your plan looks fine.  I've used this exact wire before and it's a little like pipe cleaner, if you put some soft sleeving on it it's a bit more comfortable.

yeah i got the techflex to put on top, i just wanted to make sure it wasnt 7 individual insulated strands inside.  wow 42 strands.  does the more strands mean it sounds better, or just for durability.  i was recommended this stuff so it cant be all that bad right?

I only really like silver plated copper for dark headphones like HD650. More strands doesn't help the sound really, just the flexibility and durability.
