Sennheiser HD-598s are the most comfortable headphones I've had the opportunity to use. I recommend these wholeheartedly for any first-time hi-fi buyer because of their excellent soundstage and...
I just received my SigPros (bought from a fellow head-fi'er), and now have several hours with them. They are great headphones. Agree with most of what everyone's saying about them. These...
Beats out the Bose Triport, the HD 202 and HD 435s, the AT M35 and AT M50. Just try it and see. Extremely comfortable (I wear mine while commuting and studying, for about 5+ hours a day). Bought...
When I first put them on on I though that the highs will blow my head off. My ears got tired after 10 - 15 minutes. I though I would throw them out of the window. But having read some good...
Anyway, I have lost all of my earbud doughnuts and can't find replacements. Now the 470 is $15 lol. I could just buy another pair but...Anything I can use to get a decent seal? Makes a difference.
You could try to contact Sennheiser. I don't know what the part number is, but if you tell them you want the MX470/471/580/581 rubber "ear sleeves" they'll probably know what you're talking about.
Of course, depending on the price of the parts and shipping, it may just be cheaper to buy the MX470 or MX471.
Yeah. So no mods or anything? Might just go up the Senn ladder a bit. The 470s are great SQ for $15? Really good value. I refuse to spend much on portable gear but it sure is nice to get good sound cheap.
I don't own the MX470 but I do have the MX580 and MX471 and I must say I'm quite pleased with both of them. I'm not sure how the MX470 compares but I do feel both the MX471 and MX580 are great values, at least to these ears.
And yes, the sleeves go right onto the housings with little effort. I think it's a great solution for those who may not like foams or for those with larger ears.
So there is nothing to be done but order another pair? I really can't find anything. Unless there is some mod where I can use foamies or something? lol
