Beyerdynamic A1 as preamp?

Hi guys

This is a fairly simple question, as there is a pair of  RCA output on the back of the A1, can it be used as a preamp? it says in product description that line 1 in is hardwired to line out, so music can be loopedthrough when A1 is in standby mode, but does it mean the line out doesn't go through the amp at all?  thank you.

No, that output is a line-level signal (says so on the tech sheet for the A1) so it will not function as a preamplifier.
