Looking for a low cost replacement for HiFiMan RE2

I had my HiFiMan RE2 for awhile now, but I keep losing the ear pieces and the right channel is slowly dying out. So now I think its time to find a replacement. Looking for a portable replacement to use with my Zune. I listen to Hip-Hop and female vocalist like Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles (pop/RnB/piano/acoustic).

I thought about saving up and getting the HiFiMan RE0, but does it's earpiece fall off as easy as the RE2?

Someone also mentioned these Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones. I like the retro look and its well within my price range (of buy now, RE0 would have to wait later this year). Does anyone know the difference between their Ryan Sheckler Signature and the regular ones? Also are the bands long enough to set it maybe 0.5 Inches from the top of your head? I got a lot hair on top so headphone hair is extremely noticeable.

I've owned JVC Marshmallows (yucky ear wax in foam, never foam again) and Koss KSC75 (was a hassle putting on and the clips easily broke). So those two aren't going to be rebuys for me. If anyone has any other suggestions that would help? Price range right now is $30-40.

You mention going up to the RE0 so I guess the budget of 40 isn't so strict?  I have the RE0 and the Hippo Shroom EB has a similar detailed, neutral and balanced sound for $57 shipped.  It's similar to the RE0 so it shouldn't be too far from the RE2.  It is similarly light on the bass so I can imagine that it would be bad for hip hop, not sure if you are okay with the RE2's bass for that genre.  Piano and acoustic sounds good to my ears.

I've had no trouble with the RE0's earpieces falling off.

Just add some glue on the earphone, in the middle.

Hmm White or Red?

Lost the auction for White on eBay :(. I beat the auto max bid bot. So I went ahead and replied to someone on AIM and then I got outbidded :(.

EDIT: Ordered the Red ones :D
