IMOD 5.5 or IPOD classic for ck100??

Thread Starter

i am currently using my ck100 earphone with ipod classic 160 gb together with ibasso t3 amp.

After the run-in period for my ck100, i still find that the bass quantity is a bit lacking while the mids and highs are smooth enough , the female vocals are quite sweet.

However, i always heard that Imod gen 5.5 is of greater sound quality than IPC 2009.

Is it right for me to switch to Imod gen 5.5 so that my ck100 sounds much more balanced??

Also, which amp should i use to match with my gears?

I am considering using corda xxs, is it a good choice??

Thank you

Why not consider the new 64gb iPod touch as well? Or do you need all 160gb? Most reviews suggest that it has improved audio, which sounds like they are using the new iPad / iPhone 4 chip - which in my opinion sounds pretty fantastic.

As I know so far, IMOD seems the best ipod with greatest sound quality . I am curious whether it matches with the sound of CK100, since i am worried if the sweet sound signature will be distorted

If you are buying directly from Meier Audio, get the Corda Headsix which is the Head-fi version of the XXS. It costs a bit less and looks a bit better. Sonics are identical. The XXS/Headsix is a wonderful amp.
