I ”need” a solid state amp for my D7000’s, and since it is soon my birthday… I do believe that the gifts one buy for oneself is the best :)

Budgetwise we are talking of upto usd 300,- not included shipping.

What I am listening to; everything, but mostly pop/rock.

As far as I can tell I have the choice between Matrix M-stage, Schiit Asgard and ??

Any specific recommendations are more than welcome :)

Maybe you can also look out for a used Burson HA160.

Dynalo/Gilmore Lite, M^3

Definitely the Schiit Asgard. I use the D5000's and D2000's with the Asgard and they sound Great.

The Dynalo/Gilmore Lite is a good deal. You might also want to keep an eye on the For Sale Forum. FOTM amps ought to be appearing shortly.

Dynalo.. the Sheer Ha006 is a variation upon that theme, is is not?

If I were starting over, I would buy used from the for sale forums, or a new Asgard from Schitt audio.

Like the others, Dylano/Gilmore Lite.

I use the GLite at work with the D7000 and it's great.  I like how it tames the bass a tad (just a slight bit, but enough for me to find it more enjoyable).

Got an offer for a Shanling PH100 within my budget, and locally pickup (which is a rather rare occurence here in Oslo, NO)

After the little I have read about it, it seems like decent matchup for Denons, or am I wrong?

Wouldn't the Dynalo be too bright with the D7000? I recall it's one of the brighter-sounding SS amps.

Don't forget the CK2III ..

Why is it so har d to decide?

Down to Audio GD c2 and Matrix M-Stage or maybe a Kingrex HQ-1?

Any last suggestion before I pull the trigger and let my credit card bleed a little more?
