Hi to all the members of this forum.I would like to know your opinion about wich DAP is better.

Right know I have an Ipod Classic 120 gb 6th Generation with my favorite music with Apple Looseless, but I want to know if this ipod with a fiio e7 and a LOD would beat a Cowon J3 in sound quality but in this case I will have to compress my Looseless music to 320 kbps MP3. I will use an ATH-a700 closed back headphone and the HifiMan RE0 IEM. I care about good treble and nice soundstage

Between the 2 choices the Cowon J3 has the better EQ and sound enhancements. If your not an EQ user the touch is fantastic, as it's a very clean sounding player. Also, the presets in the iOS 4 software sound very good now, and the distortion is gone. It's not as good as a custom EQ, but it's still very pleasant sounding.

Me, I prefer the Cowon J3 because I like to tweak the sound depending on my HP's - custom EQ for me. Both are fantastic in their own rights,....IMO, YMMV.
