Squeezebox v3 showing "Ethernet appears to be disconnected" even though it is.

Anyone have this issue with their Squeezebox? I have the 3rd version, with the wifi. I use normal ethernet cable to cut down on the stuttering. However, i came home to listen to some music and noticed my Squeezebox screen wasnt on. So i reset the box, went to set it up and it keeps saying my ethernet is disconnected. Its plugged in, it lights up the port on my router, but it never lets me connect via wired network. Im able to connect to it wifi, np...but wifi isnt really great when you stream a big flac file.

 

Just curious if there is something im missing....

I have the same problem with 2 squeezebox classics on the same lan. Both working fine one day, then the next day both claiming that ethernet is disconnected, but it is not. several other pc's and switches still working fine on the same lan. Still working via wireless but wireless is not as reliable. have tried factory reset several times but still no luck.
