Hey head-fiers.
I've been lurking on this site for a while but I've come across a dilemma that searching hasn't really been able to help me with, so I figured I'd join and get my questions answered directly. So, since I recently moved to college, I've realized that I needed a nice set of closed headphones to keep from annoying my room mate (and the other way around lol). I've pretty much decided on the shure srh840's, but I don't want to just be driving them out of my noisy onboard sound from my computer. I know I want a usb dac/amp combo to save space, but I can't decide which one is best for me. Though I'm open to other suggestions, I really just want to know whether the audio gd sparrow (version b) or ibasso d4 sounds better. I figure that the fact that the d4 is portable is worth the extra $60 so SQ is the deciding factor right now. In case it matters, I have a pair of sr60s now, I won't be getting the shure's for a month or two, and I listen to mostly metal, indie, and classic rock with a bit of dubstep and rap thrown in.

Short Version!
Which sounds better, sparrow or d4?
