Inception Soundtrack: 12 Time - Page 6

Track 9 sounds like 12.

528491 is sheerly terrifying. I was listening to it this semester, walking back to my dorm across the dark, empty college campus. As the song continued my hair stood on end and I realized I had sped up to nearly a jog, while looking over my shoulder every dozens n steps or so to try to calm my feeling like k was being watched. It's that strong of a piece. "Time" was also incredibly moving, powerful in an emotional way that in my personal opinion only Beethoven's 8th sonata tops

While this song is entertaining to the masses, it's not very challenging on gear. It will sound great on just about anything, hence it's popularity. I find it kind of boring to be honest, but it is soothing. The only remarkable aspect I enjoy is the high quality layering of sounds and how everything just fits.

The movie itself was ho-hum. People touted it as some intellectual giant, but it was all very simple to understand. As a veteran of sci fi and fantasy stories, this was nothing special.

It's the last scene in the movie that highlights this track.  The movie itself is no 2001: A Space Odyssey that's for sure, but it was entertaining especially compared to other movies that were released around that time.
