Bluetooth reciever/base station

Hey all,

I know some of you DIY guys are Electrical Engineering inclined so to say. Anyway, I thought of a project and i'm trying to figure out how complex it would be to carry out.

I want to output audio from my computer from bluetooth using the a2dp protocol to a base station. So what I need to make is the base station.

So the base station would have a bluetooth antenna/chip, and it would accept a2dp protocol I assume, and then I would need some sort of chip to convert this protocol to S/PDIF, and then I would have an optical output port.

is that conversion from a2dp->s/pdif to tough for a home project?

thanks for any help!

Try one of the arduino kits on the web.
