IC: broken AKG K601 - needs tlc- (conus)

Greetings everyone,

 

I have a pair of K601 headphones that need a bit of tlc.  Here are the flaws, mostly aesthetic:

 

First, the plastic tabs that allows the the headband to slide into a fit have cracked.  These could possibly be glued or taken off completely.  If someone is skilled at repairing AKG headphones they could change it completely with a replacement.

 

The headband itself has a few white nicks on the edge, but they're hard to catch on camera.

 

The cable is fairly worn in areas.

 

The earpads are a bit worn, there's no ripping or anything like that, but it seems to fray up in areas and has considerable discoloration.

 

I'm considering various offers, cash or trade.  Headphones I'd be interested include a set of good sealed cans (something like Ultrasone) or maybe a pair of orthos.  Also interested in some vintage AKG.  Condition obviously isn't as important.  Contact me in PM for questions or offers.

 

The drivers and sound are just fine though.

Hi there, may i ask how much you are trying to sell your K601 for? Are you able to ship it to Taiwan? Thank you.
