Hi all,
This is a interest check for my Grado SR225 with Jmoney zebrawood cups (deluxe shroom shape) and a Jmoney leather headband. Would anyone possibly be interested? Please send me a PM!
They're used but in very good condition. I'm the second owner and I've used them gently. They sound fantastic and the Jmoney mods are top-notch (nothing but praises to Jmoney audio!) but I've been plagued by the spartan comfort that Grado's are infamous for. In fact, these were my first Grado's and I've really enjoyed them but I'm also interested in a new tube amp so the extra funds from selling these would be helpful.
No issues or major cosmetic damages by my eye. From careful inspection, it looks like there may be 2 or 3 light surface scratches in the wood but it's hard to tell for sure since the wood itself has a grain. If they truly are scratches, they're partially masked by the grain of the wood so they're hard to detect. The earpads themselves show some signs of light wear but are in good condition and ready to use. I hand-washed the cups with a small amount of laundry detergent so they're clean, soft and smell like laundry! The Jmoney leather headband is in great condition! Comes from a non-smoking & no pet home.
Includes the following original accessories in good condition:
Grado 1/4 to 1/8 adapter cable
Grado retail box (first owner lost the original box but sent these in a spare Grado SR80 'pizza box')
These Grado's came already modded directly from Jmoney, so they were professionally installed by the man himself! I was told that these originally retailed for $400 (makes sense, the mods alone cost nearly $200). Sound-wise, the best description is from his website: "Due to the increased depth of the air chambers, music now sounds "airier", with higher detail as well as an increase in headstage! Bass is generally made tighter and the general sound quality improves to an extent." More info for these mods can be found at http://www.Jmoney.com
SOLD. All others please inquire. Would prefer to deal by Paypal but I'll consider other options also. Local sales are welcome (I'm in Connecticut). I'll also consider trades for tube amps.
