Crucial Laptop Memory - Page 2

I have a Kodak Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) 4 GB card in which I chose to utilize Ready Boost technology so that does help when I am doing homework and multi-tasking. I reduced the amount of background services and startup applications to the bare minimum and I am still utilizing 73 - 75 percent of my physical RAM capacity. Again, I was told to max out on RAM from both of my professors relatively early in this new semester. I am not studying Computer Engineering. I am pursuing a Masters of Science in Information Technology Administration & Security which is intense at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. I am set to buy 8 GB of Crucial RAM especially given the fact that I must install more software applications and use them concurrently with the previously mentioned titles in Windows 7. Thank you for your contribution though.

I placed my order through Amazon tonight:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KB21KA/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A3LJ5WMKNRFKQS

I bought two of them totaling 8192 MB of RAM. I should receive them by Friday.

I placed my order for Crucial 8 GB of DDR3 PC-8500 1066 MHz 204 pin SODIMM RAM this past Tuesday morning. I received it this Thursday afternoon. J&R and Amazon are great retailers. I replaced the RAM and ran Memtest 86+ Version 4.00 twice. No errors. It passed the tests.

My ASUS N61JV-X2 runs three times faster now. I have not run benchmarks, but it seems so much snappier and more responsive.

The RAM only cost me $179.99 USD with no sales tax and free shipping. The original price was $214.99 USD.

Now, I am going to use my Kodak SDHC 4 GB card and apply ReadyBoost technology to it for additional memory. I set my Windows page file to 4096 MB up to 12288 MB.

I am going to do another Windows Experience Index test soon. I wonder what will change and by how much.

When I buy my father an ASUS N82JV-X1 laptop, I will buy him Crucial 8 GB of RAM for his computer to go along with it.
