FS: iPod touch 64 GB 3rd Gen - NEW replaced

Thread Starter

Received a 4th gen as a replacement. See my profile for more info smily_headphones1.gif

This thread is now "dead" so to speak!

Here is what i dragged in from ebay:

New other (see details)

A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. The item may be missing its original packaging, or the original packaging has been opened or is no longer sealed. The item may be a factory second, or a new and unused item with minor defects. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections.

Basically, the battery life was annoying me, and it was getting to the last 30days of it's warranty, so i decided to send it to Apple, to get it replaced.

It is currently with Apple, but i sent it over a week ago, and it shouldn't be long before i get it.

Thus it is out of warranty. That can easily be renewed through the apple website if so desired.

Therefore:

When i get the iPod touch, it WILL be a brand new ipod, which has no scratches/wear and tear.

It will be preloaded with iOS 4.1, as stated by the Apple representative.

It will come with a silicone case (which did include a screen protector, however that is un-usable now, thus the screen protector won't be included in the package)

It will come with it's original box

It CAN come with the proof of purchase, if so wished

It will come with the original apple earphones WITH mic controls. (Used possibly 5x in 1 year?, yeah, because at Head-fi, we know better :P, ie. Westone 2's)

It will come with the docking item provided in the box

It will come with the warranty

It will come with Apple stickers...Fan boys/girls out there? (Given with the iPod, never used)

It CAN come with a nice vinyl that i had on my previous iPod touch, which i then later removed. So you tell me if you want it on or not. (It is currently lurking in a pan lid, as it can be removed and put on at any time, aluminium, or metal is the best to preserve it)

Perhaps because you're expecting money in advance for something you don't yet have in your possession? Why don't you wait till you have the brand new replacement in your hands, and then sell it? Also, has Apple guaranteed you'll get a brand new one back? My Touch had the same problem as yours, battery running out with 2 weeks left of warranty. I took it in for repair, they tested it - and said the battery was still fine... so, no replacement. That's why I asked if Apple has guaranteed a new replacement. If they have, you should have put it your listing to make it clear.

In your for sale thread, you wrote: "Basically, the battery life was annoying me, and it was getting to the last 30days of its warranty, so i decided to send it to Apple, to get it replaced. Thus you get a NEW/un-used iPod. Win-win.

Thus it is out of warranty."

Some of that is confusing, to me at least, and maybe to others. £210 is a good price, but if you're taking money for something you don't actually have, and can't guarantee you will have...  well, that's probably why no one's picked up on it.

All explained in the thread, and more so explained in the ebay auction.

Need to fund for it, and want to sell it.

More so, it HAS been replaced. I have proof if so desired.

As soon as i get it back i will change that description, that isn't hard to do.

But instead of waiting and having no one even look at it.

Might as well post it, in case someone is remotely interested.

In other words, finding interest is harder than changing the wording of the sale is it?

No one has even shown interest or pm.

Neither has anyone asked questions of such.

Not really my fault for being ahead of the game is it?

but i do understand your point i did think about it, but i don't really lose much but for typing it up, which i would have done anyways.

Thanks for the feedback nevertheless.
