Opeth Live: DVD+CD 9/21/10

Lamentations and Roundhouse were xcellent, so this one should be too. Gah, anything by Opeth is on auto-buy anyway.

I have Lamentations and it's truly great, i was looking forward to this release, was tempted by the vinyl edition, but i'll end up buying the standard realse in the end...

It looks like it comes in two formats, 2 DVDs or 2DVDs/3CDs. I'm especially looking forward to the live perfromance of Blackwater Park.

 

It's too bad this isn't up for CD only release as well. I like concert DVDs so I'd want it anyway, but live CDs are just as important. Heck, I listen to Anesthetize quite a bit more than I watch it.

You can always rip the audio tracks out of the DVD, if you're lucky enough you can find uncompressed LPCM, but even standard dvd lossy quality ( AC3 or DTS )  is not that bad either.

This is the second live album by Opeth, the first one was Roundhouse Tapes and it was a masterpiece.

I think Lamentations was also on a CD.

Anyway, Roadrunner has a better deal than Amazon, check it out. The LP set is there too.

Just got my copy, and it's a winner. The DVD concert is excellent, and the accompanying CDs are too. Been listening to the concert on my car stereo.
