Could someone explain the liquid crystal polymer that is used in these iems?

 

It sounds like a very cool material.

The MDR-Z1000 looks interesting, too. I don't know if I'd buy them blind, but am interested. I like several Sony models and maybe they've put out another good one.

The thing that makes me take a step back is the talk of the frequency range. I know my hearing stops somewhere around 17-18k. What use is it to go up to 30k if I cant hear it?

id be blown away if it could produce bass way down until 15-20 hz where you could literally feel it

Pretty much all products are priced highly in Japan, when they hit the US they ll probably be priced quite a bit under $500
