I just read the post off engadget myself a few moments ago. I've not found anything else on them. I'd love to hear how the sound!

i just noticed that soundearphones.com has them for presale. Maybe other sites have them too. Those klipsch image one looks great. Lets see how they sound.

looks like the specs of s5i are identical to s4i, except for the "ruggedness".

I wonder why they didn't just call it s4 Rugged.

(isn't s4i's driver diameter supposed to be the same as s4's 8.5mm?)

Our product guys probably named it with a different number to avoid confusion.

Thanks for catching that typo in the specs! It is supposed to be 8.5mm. We'll get that fixed regular_smile%20.gif

Does the rugged have a straight trs connector like the s4i or an angled one like the s4? Klipsch doesn' say anything about it or show it in any of their official product pictures.

 

I'm not sure want to spend the extra $30 on the s5i rugged but if it has an angled connector it should last longer and might be worth it.
