Since there are so many supporters here, are there any Audio-gd owners that have migrated from mid-range gear? What are your experiences like compared to mid-range ~ $1k-1.5k dacs from the likes of stello, benchmark, lavry, peachtree nova, etc.?
I have a Stello Da100 Signature right now, and I'm enjoying it fed optical straight from my MBP (no "face" interfaces) but I am curious to see if and how much improvement will be gained from moving to something like a dac19dsp, ref5dsp, or ref 7 w/ the usbface. My amps are older single ended tube amps (SHA Gold Ref, EC2a3) but I honestly don't see myself going balanced at least for a year or two. I definitely am curious about a source upgrade/advice in any case.
