Thanks for pushing me over to DDM's :P

What about Blox TM.5 over DDM ? http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/468532/blox-tm5-top-earbud-competing-with-pk1-and-ok1/

Do DDM's have Bass impact and rumble like panasonics ? more/less ?

Custom 3 are great if midrange details are most important with deep punchy bass and it's comes with Klipsch signature warm, live sound(need some burn in), MTP Gold, IE7 and EX700 are other options........

There are unintended ways you can wear it so that it's the most comfortable IEM you'll ever use, but you might look a little silly :P

I don't see why people say nylon cables are microphonic. The DDM's cable is one of the least microphonic cables i've ever used, although it's way too prone to tangling. I have both the DDM and hje900 and I would easily choose DDM even with the price difference. In my opinion, the DDM has a fuller bass than the panasonics, with more extension as well. So much so, that I think it's too much for me occasionally, with the stock tips. Panasonics have more of a thin, punchy bass, which I think is just right, while the DDMs bass impact is enough to knock you out of your seat. The DDM is more of an indoors phone, since its poor isolation is perfect for being able to barely hear when other people are calling to you, and that you just look silly wearing it. The panasonics are coo' enough to wear outside, inside, anywhere 8),

but for pure sound and musical enjoyment, the DDM is on a completely different league above the panasonics

but now you're considering blox? that's an earbud o.O

so you don't need isolation? what

That's a hard question to ask. Very few people have heard both. I know joker and mark has heard them both and probably few more. The DDM have lots and lots of bass however. They don't quite have as large a mid bass hump as some bass monsters but they have plenty of bass. As typical with dynamics they do have a low bass rumble.

TM5 is a limited edition earbud, which has remained out of stock for the most part. Don't think you'll get any more reviews than already available for now.

How would you compare bass of HJE-900 and DDM in terms of quality and quantity? Do you find bass in both of them "too much" for your liking?

the 900 is a lot and its powerfully impactful.  it will really punch you.  the DDM is just an overwhelming flood of bass, like being drowned in warm bath

both wade my head hurt but the 900 at least had a little fun and style about it, the DDM was just suffocating

Cheers, Mark!

I'm still enjoying the "wall of musical power and ferocity!"

Despite the rich and powerful sounds, I don't find them as fatiguing as the PFE 112, for example. The instrument separation is extremely good and the overall signature is very airy. Especially heavy tracks with fast and many riffs (Machine Head, Slayer, The Haunted, ...) are but an overflow of information with the Phonaks. But not with the HJE900 - it just gives me the drive, like it already analysed and converted the music for my brain and directly serves my emotional brain nerves...

(Wow, that was a weird description.)

Just ordered the HJE 900 yesterday. Couldn't pass up the deal now that there $78 through Amazon.com and JandR. I really love the DDM, so I can't wait to compare the two
